Yoga Teacher Training |
The two courses offered for working with people in recovery share information from the scientific, psychotherapeutic and spiritual traditions. Shaura has been working in the field for many years and first delivered the 30-hour Yoga and Mindfulness for Addictions in 2013.  She has developed the 60- hour Yoga Therapy and Somatic Movement for Addictions to share more from her ongoing learning.  Both courses guide the participants on a journey that involves the processing of intellectual data and emotional material.  The offerings from yoga, mindfulness and meditation supports the group to integrate the learning at a deep level.

Yoga Therapy and Somatic Movement for Addictions

This offering teaches methods for using yoga as a container that allows spontaneous somatic movement to arise. The practitioner then has a framework to hold participants as they make the journey back to the body and the internal world; connections are made, deep listening becomes possible, and the relationship with life is forever changed.

Yoga Therapy & Mindfulness for Addictions

This collaboration with Minded is a professional development course that takes an integrative yogic-based approach to addictions. We share the biological underpinnings of the addicted brain at the side of combining specialised yoga and mindfulness practices that will enable you to work from a complete mind-body perspective.
