Yoga Teacher Training |

Shaura Hall

Hello, I am Shaura. My journey into wholeness began in 2004 when I found myself in a Native American sweat lodge in Oregon. I was lucky to have found my first spiritual community and my connection to them has remained over the years. My time spent in the ceremonial world and the completion of a four year commitment to our sundance ceremony influences every aspect of my life and work on this planet.

In 2005 in the UK I began practicing and teaching kundalini yoga; this facilitated great personal shifts within me.

After a time I enrolled onto a yoga therapy training with the Minded Institute and this process ignited my passion for science. I was invited to join the team as student supervisor and philosophy lecturer and attended many more training courses, all of which inform my work today.

After creating the Pilamaya Yoga 300 Hour Teacher Training course I became an approved training provider with Yoga Alliance. The courses I have written tend to reflect my personal understanding of the gross and energetic world married by a more newly acquired grasp of the biological processes that govern life.

As a certified Senior Yoga Teacher and Teacher Trainer with Yoga Alliance Professionals, I teach and work with Hatha, Kundalini, and Yin Yoga, as well as mindfulness, meditation and Yoga Nidra practices.

I became an accredited Yoga Therapist C-IAYT after training with the Minded Institute in 2011. As a collaborator, I developed the ground-breaking Yoga Therapy for Addictions Continuing Professional Development training. I am continuing my work in this field by training for a certificate in Supervision to offer specialist support to therapists who work with the addicted mind.

My strong therapeutic background led me to find my passion for physiological and psychological understanding of the human body and I became a mind-and-body practitioner who supports others from a whole-person perspective. I am currently working towards a BSc (Hons) STEM.

In the recent years I have been called to revisit the plant kingdom to make relationships with those that wish to assist with the human awakening process. I have begun to offer therapeutic retreats with mother ayahuasca and her helpers.

It is in this realm of expansion that The Yogologist, and Yogologie, continue to grow.

I believe in

An all-encompassing approach to education; the union of both Eastern and Western traditions, fluidity in the philosophies of differing schools of yoga, and the powerful alliance between the biological and spiritual dimensions of the human being.

With true reverence to the intelligence of the human body and the magic that can be raised through yoga, pranayama and meditation I believe in the practice.
In Yogologie, we know that every practice – like every body – is unique, and we honour that.

Through a process of learning, commitment and empowerment, every individual holds the capacity to transform, to raise their vibration, to realise their potential and make a positive contribution to our world. I believe in the human spirit.
